Losing a pet is stressful, and we are here to help. The Humane Society of North Central Florida partners with Petco Love Lost, a national lost and found database that uses photo-matching technology to help reunite pets with their families quickly and safely.

Lost Your Pet?
If your pet is missing, take these steps immediately:

• Search Petco Love Lost using your pet’s photo

• Register your lost pet to alert shelters and community members

• Check local shelters, including ours, in person if possible

• Ensure your pet’s microchip information is up to date

Found a Pet?
If you have found a pet:

• Upload a photo to Petco Love Lost to look for matches

• Have the pet scanned for a microchip at a veterinary clinic or shelter

• Notify local shelters and post in your community

• Post on Social Media, community, neighborhood groups etc. 

Petco Love Lost helps connect found pets with their families faster through its nationwide network.

At HSNCF, we actively use Petco Love Lost as part of our intake and reunification process. By combining microchipping, community outreach, and national database tools, we work to increase return-to-owner rates and reduce the number of pets entering shelters unnecessarily.
