Pack Walk
Pack Walk is a new program by the Humane Society of North Central Florida designed for groups, including private groups, student organizations, and corporate teams. We invite these groups to join us in walking our dogs on our 0.3 mile campus loop, providing them with exercise and enrichment.
After a brief introduction to dog handling and completing the volunteer sign-up process, each volunteer will be paired with a dog brought to them by our animal care team. Volunteers will walk the dogs along a one-way path on our campus, which includes suggested stops for enrichment activities.
This one-hour activity is perfect as a team-building exercise, providing a fun and rewarding experience while helping our dogs get the exercise they need.
Please note, this activity is for participants ages 18 and up. Volunteers should wear good, closed-toed shoes as the walk will take place over uneven surfaces. Be aware that some of the dogs may be learning to walk on a leash, so patience and understanding are required.
How to Get Started
Groups must contact the Volunteer Department or complete our interest form to be scheduled.
We are currently offering group Pack Walks on Tuesdays from 9–10 AM. These opportunities are first come, first served and limited in availability. If this time does not work for your group, please reach out—we’re happy to explore possible alternatives when feasible.
Group size is limited to a maximum of 6 people.
Pack Walk opportunities are limited and fill quickly, so early inquiries are encouraged.

Sponsorships, Naming and Dedication Opportunities Available
Support our Pack Walk program by becoming a sponsor or dedicating this experience in honor or memory of a loved one—human or animal. Sponsorships help provide leashes, enrichment supplies, signage along the walking path, and other essential materials that make this program safe and enjoyable for both volunteers and our dogs.
This is a meaningful way for businesses, families, or individuals to show their commitment to animal welfare while gaining visibility in the community or creating a lasting tribute.
