We’ve had the honor of caring for a lot of incredible animals over the years—but there’s something truly special about Skipper and Barbie. These 7-year-old sisters were surrendered to Grace Marketplace, and it was immediately clear how deeply bonded they are. From the moment they arrived, they’ve never left each other’s side.
They do everything together—napping, cuddling under blankets, greeting new visitors—and they truly bring out the best in one another. Watching them care for each other has made all of us fall in love with them.

They’re both sweet, affectionate, and incredibly loyal. They love belly rubs and being near people.

They’re smart and well-mannered—both know how to sit and are crate and house trained.

They get so excited to meet new friends, though they take a little time to warm up to men. Once they do, they’re all in.
We’ll be honest—bonded pairs can be harder to place, but we believe there’s a special family out there who will see what we see: two wonderful dogs who bring double the love and joy.

These girls are absolute shelter favorites. Their quiet strength, their sweet connection, and their gentle personalities have touched all of us. Every time we see them curled up together, we’re reminded of how deep the bond between animals can be.

Their adoption fee has been completely covered by the Sean Powell Memorial Fund, so their next chapter can begin as easily as possible.
